Description

Wondering how today’s allergy forecast will affect your seasonal allergies? Are your seasonal allergies so bad that you always check the pollen count and allergy map before you head out? Muddle no more!

The Zyrtec® AllergyCast® app helps take the guesswork out of managing your allergies. Our new symptom prediction technology calculates how severe your symptoms may feel so you can prepare for each day.

How Personal Allergy Impact Works

When you first download the app, we’ll provide you with the pollen level in your area based on your zip code. Each day for 5 days, you’ll track your symptoms in the app.

After 5 days of tracking, we’ll unlock your Personal Allergy Impact score. This personalized score lets you know how your allergy symptoms should really feel that day. The more you track, the smarter and more personalized our predictions become.
In addition to your daily Personal Allergy Impact, you’ll get a fresh-looking app that includes these features:

· Weather forecasts for your zip code that updates based on your current location
· Simple allergy tips to help you feel your best
· An enhanced allergy symptom tracker
· Allergy insights and trends based on your tracked symptoms
· A list of the predominant pollens in the air for the day

Cuts off

I think the app is accurate as far as when I may feel a itch or runny nose based on specific things in the air. The annoying part is how it randomly closes as a try to read up on what’s in the air and what the pollen count is like. It always cuts off. It gets worse and worse. If after this last update it continues I will delete the app.

Requisite accounts?

I’ve used this app for years and found it helpful, but I’ll delete it in the next couple of weeks if there’s not a reversal on account creation. As someone who works for a Silicon Valley company, I feel confident saying that virtually nobody on the planet likes to create accounts—even when there’s a legitimate need. (“Oh, does it require FB integration!? Does it need to be a so-called strong password that I’ll never remember and have to resupply every time I open the app? Do I have to have a unique user name with a senseless stream of numbers at the end? Does it require e-mail confirmations in an already overflowing inbox!? Will I then be helping some random corporation sell my information to others and get personalized, helpful—read: targeted, scummy—ads!? Will my personal info invariably be stolen due to lax security protocols at Company X!? Awesome! ” . . . said nobody, ever.)

Finally, did it take me longer to write this review than it would have to create an account for you? Probably. Why leave the comment? More people will seek out your competitors instead of dealing with this nonsense.

With all that said, I’m happy to delete this review and leave a 5-star review if your devs and mgmt reverse course on this issue. Be well, folks.

Horrible Update

Before the last update, the app was mediocre at best. Many times, the app gave <null> information but when it did work, it was good. It used to show the allergy and allergy impact but I did not like that it only gave a 2 number pollen count (_ . _) while when inquired on Alexa would give a 3 number (_ . _ _) impact answer. Now I have to input my info and the symptoms are so basic. No descriptions of headache and pressure and things of that nature. Having to create an account is absolutely ridiculous. I preferred not having to. What a disappointment. Oh, and there’s no way to contact them through the app for suggestions or questions. That’s also a VERY basic need within any app.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We are constantly working to improve the app experience and we rely on user insights like yours to help us make it easier for you to manage your allergies.
