The NBA is back for a new season, and there are big changes to how you can experience games on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.
The 2025–2026 NBA season is here, and there are big changes to how you can experience games on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.
Start with the NBA app
The NBA app is the official hub for nonstop basketball coverage. Stay on top of the latest news, behind-the-scenes stories and game highlights. Swipe through iPhone-friendly vertical videos of trending moments around the league. Plus, the app puts real-time scores right on your Lock Screen with Live Activities.
With an NBA League Pass subscription, you can watch hundreds of out-of-market games live, as well as broadcast games on demand (including the in-season tournament).
Your subscription also unlocks the reimagined NBA TV channel, which streams 24/7 original programming such as The Association, a new prime-time flagship show featuring live game analysis from hosts MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes and John Wall.
Watch national games live
This year, some new and familiar broadcasters are streaming televised NBA games. Notably, NBA on NBC (and its classic theme song, “Roundball Rock”) is back after more than two decades, and you can watch the games in the Peacock app. Prime Video also has many key match-ups on its schedule, including the NBA Cup tournament and a pair of international games in Berlin and Orlando in January. Here’s the new starting line-up:
Listen in
Can’t be in front of a screen to watch the game? Listen to the live radio broadcasts throughout the season with League Pass in the NBA app or in SiriusXM.
Basketball scores in a snap
Apple Sports is a fast way to keep up with your favorite NBA team. With real-time scores and play-by-play updates, it syncs seamlessly with favorites you’ve selected in the My Sports experience in the Apple News and Apple TV apps. New this season: iOS widgets that customize your iPhone Home Screen with at-a-glance scores.
