Attention, trainers! Pokémon Champions has arrived on iPhone and iPad. This RPG battler lets you trade, train, and command your favorite Pokémon in deceptively tricky turn-based battles. Here’s what to expect when you hit the arena:

Your goal: Build an unstoppable team and take down online rivals in turn-based fights. To score a victory, call forth attacks, pay attention to type advantages (like Fire over Grass), and knock out your opponent’s squad. Racking up wins moves you into higher ranks and nets resources for cool new gear and training your Pokémon.

There are multiple ways to flesh out your squad. Borrow a Pokémon for up to seven days with Trial Recruitment—or spend Victory Points or Teammate Tickets to claim them permanently. Die-hard fans can even add creatures from a Pokémon HOME collection, which stores hundreds of catches from other Pokémon games, including Pokémon GO.

Your Pokémon can be tweaked too. To up your odds of defeating foes, refine your team by modifying stats, moves, held items, and Mega Evolutions. You’re a trainer, after all!
