WHAT TO WATCH

Can You Beat Shazam?

Play with the hit game show to win cash prizes.

If you’ve got an ear for naming a song quickly, you could get a chance to win $10,000—simply by watching the hit game show Beat Shazam.

Award-winning actor and singer Jamie Foxx is your host.

Hosted by Jamie Foxx, Beat Shazam pits teams of two against the clock—and each other—as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time. Anything from pop to Motown to hair metal is fair game.

The winning team earns the chance to compete against the toughest opponent out there: the speedy song-identification app Shazam. Stakes are high. Teams that beat Shazam can win up to $1 million in prize money.

Beat Shazam streams live Thursday evenings in the Fox Now app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. And it’s available on demand. Check local listings for the time in your area.

Play along

You’ve got to be fast—and accurate—to stay in the game and earn a shot at the Beat Shazam sweepstakes.

This season, the show continues to offer a first-of-its-kind experience: You can play along in real time, exclusively by using the Shazam app.

To do so, whether you’re watching the show live or on demand, launch Shazam and tap the logo. When the DJ plays a song on the show, the artist or category name will appear on your device—along with four song titles to choose from. Tap your best guess and see if you’re quicker than the players on TV.

During the final round—when the on-air contestants play against Shazam—viewers at home will be presented with the opportunity to enter a weekly sweepstakes for a chance to win the $10,000 prize.
