Airline Commander

A real flight experience

VIEW

Youre a seasoned airline pilot, guiding your wide-body commercial jet to final approach at London’s Heathrow airport. Flaps? Set. Landing gear? Lowered. Engine three? Just burst into flames.

Welcome to the life of an Airline Commander.

It’s your final approach and both engines are on fire. Don’t worry: You’ve got this!

This innovative flight simulation combines a business-tycoon experience with the excitement of piloting a huge range of real-world aircraft. Once you learn the basics of takeoffs and landings in your starting plane (a twin turboprop Saab 340), you’ll hone your skills to earn new licenses—and gain access to moneymaking flight routes around the world.

Switching to the realistic cockpit view makes flights feel more authentic.

Using silky-smooth controls, you’ll tilt your device to gently change your plane’s heading and pitch. Meanwhile, onscreen levers and buttons let you set the throttle, lower the landing gear, and perform other critical functions. Bank your craft too sharply or land too roughly and (as in real life) your passengers won’t be happy.

It’s a blast switching hats between the business mastermind and the captain in the cockpit. Eyeballing that lucrative route out of Istanbul’s Atatürk airport? First you’ll need to upgrade to a bigger plane and learn how to land in fog.

Securing lots of flight-route contracts means more cash to buy bigger and better jets.

Airline Commander keeps upping the stakes with each new jet and set of licenses you acquire. Eventually you’ll have to start your engines manually, taxi to position for takeoff, and set the autopilot for your final destination. And that’s the easy stuff.

Making a white-knuckle landing in a thunderstorm when an engine suddenly flames out at 300 feet is the sort of thing that’ll test the mettle of even the most capable pilots.
