Are you tired of ordering food delivery online or over the phone, only to wonder when it'll ever arrive?
Uber Eats fixes this all too common dilemma. When you place your order in the app, you can use the Upcoming tab to follow your meal every step of the way in real time, right down to watching your delivery person drive, bike, scooter, or walk it to your doorstep (essentially the same way you keep an eye on your Uber driver's status).
The service covers countless cities and metro areas in North America, and even more around the world. Use the Home feed or Search tab to browse or quickly look up nearby restaurants offering Uber Eats delivery. Next to every eatery's name is an estimate of how long the delivery will take (usually spanning between 15 minutes to an hour).
Scan the menu, which offers unusually appetizing food photography, then add your selection to your cart. Customizing your order (burgers, salads, pizza, sushi) is simple; the menu will either prompt you to make choices—like Add Extra (sauce, pickles, tomato, onions)—or you can enter a note in the Special Instructions box.
Tips are included, which means no fumbling around for cash when your meal arrives.
If you love your delivery experience, favorite the restaurant. When you go into your Profile, you can see all of the restaurants you've saved for future inspiration. And it's a cinch to reorder a meal you've loved before: Simply go to Past Orders, find your selection, and tap Reorder.
