A retro beat-’em-up with modern controls, Beat Street is made to be played with just your thumb. To run around, drag in the direction you want to go. Against thugs and bosses, tap and swipe to perform punches, throws, jump kicks, and special moves.

Don’t let the simple controls fool you: Beat Street is a demanding game. You can’t mash your way through—you’ll need precise positioning and well-timed special attacks to ensure you don’t get flanked and clonked in the noggin.

Before boss battles, you’ll see a splash screen straight out of classic fighting games.

In your ongoing quest to whomp every bad guy right in the pixel, you’ll earn tokens and coins to beef up your favorite heroes. Replaying earlier levels on a harder difficulty unlocks better rewards.

Cool option: You can play the game in either landscape (shown) or portrait orientation.

If you need help, try joining a friend or random player and tackling levels in co-op mode.
