Not all the great deals are online. Flipp lets you peruse print circulars from brick-and-mortar stores near you. It’s a handy way to find discounts on groceries, clothes, furniture, musical instruments, sporting goods, and more. Here’s how it works.
After you share your location, Flipp pulls together digitized flyers and catalogs of nearby stores. Browse through them page by page, or do a search for a specific product (TV, strawberries, toothpaste). You can browse by category, like Sports, Fashion, and Baby & Kids. See an item you want to buy? Tap to add it to your shopping list.
Once you’re done searching for deals, tap the shopping list tab to see all the items you’ve added. The app will group the products by store and alert you if any coupons are available. Have you already written out a list by hand? Snap a photo and Flipp will transcribe your writing and import the items.
The Deal Finder lets you highlight products in a circular that are discounted more than a certain percentage. Use the slider tool to quickly see that, say, five items are over 40 percent off at your local pharmacy this week. The app also lets you load coupons to a store’s loyalty card and upload a photo of your receipt for rebates.
