Get crowdsourced wait times
Want to figure out how early you’ll need to leave for the airport? Use the app to see projected wait times for the TSA security line at a specific time and day of the week. You’ll also get live estimates, crowdsourced from other MyTSA users. To ensure accuracy, the app asks you to report your wait time once you arrive at the airport. (You’ll need to share your location information to participate.)
Pack a hassle-free carry-on
With the app’s “Can I Bring?” tab, see if a specific item in your carry-on will make it past security. Search “razor” and you’ll learn that disposable razors are OK, but safety razors are not. You can also read up on items with special requirements. Breast milk, for example, is allowed in “reasonable quantities” and can be carried on with special screening, even if you’re not traveling with your child, according to the app.
