Fabulous helps you forge healthy habits by providing self-improvement activities that are really easy to do. The app guides you through a routine that includes Journeys—multiweek programs that help you achieve a better overall sense of wellness.

What we love: Fabulous starts with a few questions to help customize your first Journey. Do you want to feel, say, more energized? The app will recommend drinking a glass of water right when you wake up. Once you’ve completed this task for three days, Fabulous ups the ante: Can you drink water and eat a great breakfast for another three mornings in a row? Each day you’ll be offered tips and simple action steps for making your tasks more doable (like keeping a water bottle beside your bed), as well as short inspirational daily coaching lessons that you can read, watch, or listen to.

Set up alarms and notifications to keep you on track, then check off your tasks as you go so you can watch your progress.

Quick tip: Access even more support by joining Fabulous’ circles, the app’s online communities where users can connect and respond to inspirational prompts and ideas as they progress on their self-care journey.

Meet the creator: Fabulous was cofounded in 2013 by Sami Ben Hassine, Amine Laadhari, and Taylor Ling, who brought their idea to an incubation lab for startups at Duke University. With the help of behavioral economics professor Dan Ariely, they developed the app using evidence-based research to help individuals and teams become their healthiest and most productive selves.
