Morpholio Trace - Sketch CAD

Design & Architecture Drawing

View

For modern architects, illustrators, and interior designers, the creative process involves a combination of freehand sketching and computer-aided design (CAD). Built for those professionals, Morpholio Trace integrates easy free-form sketching with precise lines, layers, and augmented-reality-enhanced perspective drawing.

If you’re the kind of pro who already understands all these fancy terms, you’ll find dozens of ways to incorporate Morpholio Trace into your workflow.

This is professional-caliber stuff, capable of adding people at scale.

You can start from scratch, import a CAD drawing, sketch, or satellite image, or draw on a photo you just took. You can even use stencils to add people and trees to your architectural drawings at scale.

With the Smart Fill feature, quickly paint large areas and find their square footage. Or use the Instant Scale feature to set the scale of your drawing with the measurements of just one element—input the length of one wall and it’ll calculate the rest of the measurements. Then use Apple Pencil with the app’s Scale Pen feature for perfectly weighted lines (it adjusts for scale and zoom, and automatically assigns the right pen thicknesses for the sketch).

The app’s Smart Fill feature makes coloring unconventional shapes—and then finding their square footage—a one-tap process.

As if all that isn’t enough, Morpholio Trace uses augmented reality (AR) to simplify perspective drawing, laying a perspective grid over your photo. To try it, snap a picture and set the plane of wherever you’re sketching. The app will then let you seamlessly sketch with perfect scale and perspective—great for accurately drawing on top of a photo.

A feature called AR Sketch Walk allows you to walk through one of your own floor plans at scale. (Maybe take your device outside so you don’t bump into any real-life walls.) Using the new Shared Experiences AR technology, link multiple iPhones and iPads so clients and colleagues can study the same plan at once.
