From the main menu to the closing credits, Goblin Sword is a love letter to action platformers of old. The charming 2D art style and simple controls may seem quaint, but they make the adventure all the more challenging.
Traverse each stage slaying hordes of monsters, collecting treasure, and searching for secrets. Clearing a level is a task in itself, but finding all of the loot hidden along the way is not for the faint of heart.
Fear not, though. You can use the treasure you acquire to buy stronger weapons (each with a unique magic ability) and relics to boost stats or summon companions.
And platforming isn’t the only obstacle. There are plenty of boss stages to test your mettle in one-on-one combat.
So take up your sword and get lost in a sprawling 16-bit adventure with heart to spare. Oh, and be sure to collect those hearts. You’ll need them.
