Remember when you were little and the most important thing on your to-do list was playing with toys and building things? A house here, a bridge there… the only limit was your imagination. Or the odd interruption, like dinner time.
Fast forward to today and you’re playing builder once more, constructing imaginary railways and mountains around the house, only this time, it’s with your kids. Before you spoil the moment by announcing it’s dinner time (just like the good old days) we want to introduce you to PlayKids, one of our favourite apps for kids (and big kids, of course).
The app’s adorable puppy, Junior, will take your little ones on a hugely enjoyable adventure on a train featuring different wagons and educational activities. There are drawing books to learn about the shape of different objects, music videos to learn vowels and numbers, as well as funny minigames like “The piano” (inside the Game wagon) to help them recognise different animal sounds.
Junior is the main character of his own minigame too. He teaches your kids how to build houses and bridges using 3D blocks, so not only will they develop their spatial awareness, but they’ll be thoroughly entertained! And then there’s the SuperHands video series, which will show them how to construct things using objects available at home.
In this safe and intuitive environment, there’s always something new to learn and PlayKids’ colourful world is packed with opportunities for your child to explore their own creative instincts.
