Pitting you against a roster of unlikely opponents (boxers, wrestlers), Timber Tennis is a wacky take on the usually dignified sport.
Volleys are simple at first: Tap left or right to move your player to return the ball. But soon you’ll be timing taps to aim supershots, dodge multiple balls (and bombs), and pick up coins. Gameplay is endless, as long as you don’t mess up.
The courts go beyond clay and grass, ranging from playgrounds to funky disco scenes. And there are over 40 characters to unlock and level up—like a sword-weilding kendo master (one of our favorites).
In addition to competing against the computer, you can challenge others online or play against a friend on the same device. (Just grab opposite ends of your iPhone and get serving. Brilliant!) No matter how you play, Timber Tennis is an absolute smash.
