Infinite Pool is sort of a mix of billiards and golf—except that this table, unlike real ones, never ends.
You play as Cupi, a chipper little cartoon cue ball. Drag and release to launch him through colorful landscapes littered with holes. Sinking other balls (while avoiding scratches) gives you the extra points you need to keep going.
Upbeat lounge music keeps the vibe mellow, but be warned: This game is trickier than it looks. As you advance, you’ll cross into more difficult zones filled with obstacles, like fences, rivers, and holes that open and close.
Really, though, the best part is the bomb balls. They explode when hit, sending any nearby balls flying in all directions. There’s nothing quite like a small fireball saving you from a game over.
Though there’s no timer, trying to speed-run the game is a blast—smashing through zones as quickly as possible, with little regard for shot accuracy or the well-being of poor Cupi. As you’d imagine, your results will probably be…less than perfect.
In retrospect, it’s no surprise that Cupi is smiling even though his entire existence seems to revolve around crashing into hard surfaces and repeatedly surviving explosions. The game is just that fun.
