Libby brings your local library to you, letting you check out ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, all for the reasonable price of free.
What we love: The convenience. If a title is unavailable, place a hold and Libby will alert you when it’s ready to borrow. Head to the Search tab or your library’s home page and tap “available now” to find the titles you can check out immediately. The app also automatically handles returns, so there’s never a late fee.
Quick tip: Keep your stacks organized with Libby’s tagging feature. Open a book, audiobook, or magazine you’re interested in and tap Tag to write a custom name and description—then apply the tag to any title it suits. Revisit everything you’ve saved with that tag by heading to the Shelf tab and tapping the tags you’ve created.
Meet the creator: Libby was made by OverDrive, the leading digital-reading platform for libraries and schools worldwide. Through the service, libraries have loaned over 1 billion ebooks.
