You don’t need a golden ticket to explore Willy Wonka’s famous factory in Wonka’s World of Candy. You just need to solve the tastiest match-3 puzzles this side of the great glass elevator.
While Wonka was away exploring far-off lands, his chocolate factory hit some hard times. The candy man needs you to help him rebuild it bigger and better than ever before.
Unfortunately, selling a few hundred everlasting gobstoppers to old Slugworth won’t turn Wonka’s fortunes around. To fix up the factory, solve challenging puzzles composed of colorful Wonka candies. Each puzzle unlocks stars and coins to be spent on improvements. Plant delicious trees to spruce up the entryway, house colorful cows that produce chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry milk, and help the Golden Geese lay valuable eggs. You want it all? You got it.
The factory is gorgeous, with impressive attention to detail. You’ll find all your favorite locations, from the Fizzy Lifting Drinks Room to Wonkavision Studios, as the factory slowly comes back to life. Just be careful not to fall into the river of chocolate. We hear the suction is brutal.
The pleasant match-3 puzzles do a wonderful job channeling more Wonka goodness. Match candies in an L or T shape, for example, and score an exploding Fizzy Bubble tile that blasts away neighboring candies. Manage to match six or more and you get a Colorsplash Cordial, which fills your screen with singing Oompa Loompas (including, for the first time ever, one who is female) who flip candy colors across the entire board. It’s hard not to hum along.
