What we love: Peloton streams high-energy live studio classes daily by top-tier instructors from around the world. Whether you stream a class with the app’s community or revisit a recording on your own time, there’s a variety of workout types, durations, difficulty levels, and equipment options (weights, treadmills, rowing machines, just some open space) to choose from. No Peloton hardware required!
Quick tip: Tap the plus sign icon on any class to add that session to your Stack, where you can customize your workouts and build a queue of classes. We love stacking a warm-up ride before a cycle class, followed by a stretch session.
Meet the creator: The Peloton app launched in 2018. “The team worked hard to bring Peloton fitness to everyone, no matter where you are or whether you own Peloton equipment or not,” says Ben McDowell, a senior manager on Peloton’s engineering team.
