It all starts with the karts. (Motorheads will be more than satisfied with the selection.) You begin with the Lambini, an open-topped muscle car, but eventually unlock jeeps, rally cars, and even a shining silver Lunar rover. Each vehicle has different traits—like top speed, acceleration, and handling—and they’re fully customizable. Want to spray-paint some skulls on your hood? Go for it.
Exactly how you go is also up to you. Tap the sides of the screen to steer, or tilt your device as if it were a steering wheel. The latter is more challenging, but it’s remarkably immersive once you get the hang of it.
Whether you’re blowing through the dusty deserts of Gold Rush Ridge, blazing past an alien biolab, or soaking up the rays in Buccaneer Bay, Beach Buggy Racing 2’s fantastical levels are polished to a high sheen.
