This card-focused take on the vaunted NBA 2K lets you build and outfit your team by opening packs. The better you play, the more packs you earn, and the more potent—and eclectic—your roster becomes.
With over 400 players to acquire and upgrade, b-ball fans will have a blast trying to craft a superteam. From current stars like LeBron James and Steph Curry to legends like Isaiah Thomas, Hakeem Olajuwon, and the (debatable?) GOAT himself, Michael Jordan, NBA 2K Mobile lets you create your all-time dream team.
It’s also great on the go. The single-player Season mode games are divided into two-minute halfs, so it’s frighteningly easy to earn some goodies during short breaks in your day. Want to see how your skills stack up against other players? Hop into League mode and take on the world.
No matter how you choose to play, NBA 2K Mobile looks amazing, with console-quality graphics that bring the court—and its explosively athletic stars—to life. And it’s easy to make them look good, thanks to effective touch controls. Lockdown defense, morale-sapping steals, and big-time blocks are as intuitive as flashy passes, deep threes, and rim-shaking dunks. Or if you’d rather take the hands-off approach, an Auto mode will do the heavy lifting for a while, letting you hop into the action whenever you want.
It even gives a nod to classic arcade sports games with the Boost meter. It’s dead center, between your joystick and virtual buttons. Play well to fill it up, then trigger it to temporarily increase your entire team’s skill level. Your ragtag squad might not play like the Warriors for a full 48, but Boost them at the right moment and they can look like the best in the world when it counts.
