Archero

Hit and Run, Win Win Win!

View

Fire, lightning, double arrows, ricochet shots—suffice it to say, you’re no ordinary bowman in Archero. And Archero is no ordinary action game.

Drag your finger to move the Lone Archer, but if you want to fire off a few volleys—and you certainly will—you’ll need to stand still. That works well enough when you’re fighting harmless bats and spiders, but it gets hectic when hunting stone golems, bomb-throwing ghosts, and angry fire demons.

If you’re surrounded, that’s bad news—for the bad guys.

That’s where Archero’s power-ups come in handy. Each time you level up, Archero gives you a choice of upgrades: Do you put some extra damage into your shots, surround yourself with magic, bounce arrows off walls, or fire your weapon in several directions at once? The abilities stack too, so if you choose wisely, your basic shot can evolve into a flaming, rapid-fire, buzz-saw-through-everything hailstorm.

In later stages, like the gloomy Abandoned Dungeon and the creepy Barrens of Shadow, tiny spirits help out with magic attacks of their own. These sidekicks can be leveled up or even fused into stronger forms...if you have enough loot.

Don’t just randomly mix and match! Some powers stack better than others.

But be careful! Take too many hits and it’s game over and back to the start—though you’ll gain some permanent upgrades that will give you a leg up for each restart.

Archero’s subtle strategy and simple but effective controls create a delightful loop that will thrill action and role-playing fans alike. Take aim and fire away.
