HOW TO
The Quickest Way to Fill Out a PDF
Adobe Fill & Sign-Form Filler
Edit and send PDF & Docs
Adobe Fill & Sign helps you blaze through the not-exactly-thrilling process of completing paperwork on your iPhone or iPad. Here’s how to get the job done fast:
Prefill your information
The key to form-filling mastery is to enter basic info—like your name, address, and phone number—in advance: Open your profile by tapping the person icon, then enter your details.
Import your form
There are many ways to open a blank form in the app, but one of the slickest is to do a web search. (For instance, search “Form W-4” to pull up a hot, fresh W-4 straight from the IRS website.) You can also import a file from your device or iCloud Drive, choose an image from Photos, or simply snap a picture.
Create a text field
Tap anywhere on the form to start typing, or tap the profile icon to enter a field you prefilled. To adjust the font size, tap the big or small A.
To add a special character (like a check mark, X, dot, or dash), tap anywhere on the form, then tap the three dots.
And if you have a form that requires you to enter one character per box, tap the three dots and pick the rightmost icon. (This tool will blow your mind.)
Tweak what you’ve done
To go back and adjust something you entered, tap it and drag to reposition it. To edit the text, tap twice.
Make it official
Now for the important part: To sign your name, tap the fountain-pen icon. Here you’ll create your signature and initials, which will be saved for posterity and, with a subscription to Adobe Document Cloud, be available in other Adobe apps.
