Developed by veterans who understand the needs of members of the military and their families, Sandboxx makes it easy to send letters of support to those who are serving their country, wherever in the world they may be stationed.
What we love: Just type a message as you would a text or email, add a photo, and enter a return address. Sandboxx will print it out and send it via FedEx to the service member’s base—along with stationery and a pre-addressed return envelope so they can respond in kind.
Quick tip: Not sure of the recipient’s address? Select their base from a list, along with details like their battalion, company, and platoon, and Sandboxx will fill in the rest.
Meet the creator: U.S. Marine Corps veterans Sergeant Sam Meek and Major General Ray “E-tool” Smith launched the Sandboxx app on Veterans Day in 2014. Based in Arlington, Virginia, the company aims to support service members and their families throughout their military journey.
