Rick and Morty: Pocket Mortys

Catch & Battle Strange Morties

View

Wubba lubba dub dub! Are you a fan of the hilariously outrageous animated series Rick and Morty? Relive the hit show in Pocket Mortys, the tongue-in-cheek role-playing game.

With more than 300 Mortys to fight, collect, and upgrade, however, figuring out which to pursue can be a challenge.

One strategy: Just pick the coolest, weirdest ones! Here are five especially ridiculous characters, along with a little-known fact about each, straight from the development team at Adult Swim Games.

Miami Morty

Hailing from the GF Mortanic dimension, Miami Morty sports a huge variety of moves. Gotta love that hair and those shades!

Best attack: The Pout move seriously jacks up his speed—perfect for getting the jump on opponents.

Developer detail: “Miami Morty complements Miami Rick, but they don’t match exactly because they are from the ‘1980s Miami dimension,’ not the ‘pastel suit–wearing dimension.’”

Car Morty

This Mortopia dimension Morty’s got relatively high defense, speed, and hit point stats. Also, he’s a car!

Best attack: Experiment with Pillage, an absorption attack that leeches health from your foe.

Developer detail: Wondering why he walks on his rear tires instead of driving on all four wheels? “His license was suspended a couple years back. Don’t text and drive!”

Wizard Morty

For a guy who’s only role-playing as a wizard, he’s got a lot of sorcerer-like abilities. You’ll find him in Plumbubo Prime 51b.

Best attack: Flail is surprisingly strong and accurate for a low-level attack—and it’s available at level 1.

Developer detail: So does this mage really know how to cast spells? “He’s from a dimension where everyone starts LARPing at a very early age. So no, he can’t do real magic.”

Exo-Prime Morty

This odd alien from Plumbubo Prime 51b is the final evolutionary form of Exo-Alpha Morty and Exo-Omega Morty.

Best attack: Reach level 41 to use Exo-Prime’s Mind Meld, a powerful low-cost scissors-style attack.

Developer detail: He’s a narcissist, so be sure to stroke his ego. “Tell him the brain sack on his back looks awesome!”

Pepperoni Pizza Morty

Some say this sentient pizza slice is angry. Others say he’s crusty. Either way, he calls the GF Mortanic dimension home.

Best attack: Slice & Dice unleashes five quick blows of varying hit probabilities.

Developer detail: The developers would love to see this Morty in the show. “A full Pizza dimension episode could dive into the complex politics across different toppings. Sausage Pizza People and BBQ Chicken Pizza People really hate each other.”
