Why We Still Treasure Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2: Endless Escape
Run, Jump & Escape Danger!
Steal the idol! Then start running, because the moment you touch Temple Run 2’s cursed prize, you’re pursued by a seriously grumpy monkey.
Since debuting in 2013, this beloved runner hasn’t slowed down. Whether you’re a lapsed player looking to find your footing again or a fresh-faced adventurer ready to run for the very first time, Temple Run 2 is still a treasure.

Fast friends
Still running as intrepid archaeologist Guy Dangerous? You’re missing out. Temple Run 2 has introduced dozens of coin-collecting characters over the years, including Santa Claus, Tom Brady, Cleopatra, and Bruce Lee. Even Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has tried to stay one step ahead of the demon monkey (though we’re pretty sure he lost that race).
Seasonal spirits
Some of Temple Run 2’s coolest content comes and goes as quickly as its fleet-footed stars. In addition to daily and weekly challenges, the game adds seasonal surprises. Expect bunny ears for Easter, leprechaun hats for St. Patrick’s Day, and some truly terrifying monkeys for Halloween.
Fall Jungle, for example, puts an autumn-inspired spin on the Lost Jungle map. A pumpkin-spice idol? No wonder the monkey is angry you stole it!

Whole new worlds
Temple Run 2 players have torn across environments all over the globe, from the ice-covered Frozen Shadows to the Egypt-inspired Blazing Sands.
But these levels aren’t just for show. Some add devious obstacles, like Lost Jungle’s man-eating plants and possessed crocodiles. Or discover hidden treasure in Pirate Cove—plus a swashbuckling makeover.
