Don’t be scared off by the higher price of MILK Handcrafted Photo Books. The company specializes in beautiful, archival-quality albums you’ll treasure for years—and you can design and order them directly in the Photos app.
MILK’s Premium Photo Books offer six-color printing (instead of the usual four) on a selection of high-end paper stocks you won’t find on other services, like 170-gsm (grams per square meter, a measure of sturdiness) white satin. Books are hardbound with linen and stitched so the pages lie flat while you’re viewing them; cover designs include UV-printed text and graphics that won’t fade over time.
For extra-special occasions like a wedding, MILK’s Premium Photo Albums use 1-millimeter-thick board pages for a stunning keepsake; you can add your own spine text to select books and albums so they’ll look spiffy on the shelf. (When you don’t need a premium book, MILK’s Classic Photo Books use four-color printing and glued bindings but still look great.)
And if you’ve ever wanted to create a personalized Moleskine notebook for capturing your thoughts and inspirations, now’s your chance: You can create Moleskine photo books based on the iconic company’s classic designs—complete with the familiar black covers and rounded ivory paper.
MILK creates a 24-page layout by default, but your book can have up to 200 pages. You can edit each image using the tools of the Photos app or any other photo-editing apps on your Mac that have Photos extensions.
