Great Games for Controllers

Use your favorite console controller with your Mac.

Exciting news for gamers: You can use your PlayStation DualShock 4, PlayStation DualSense, Xbox Wireless, Xbox Elite 2, Xbox Adaptive, Xbox Series X|S, and MFi controllers with your Mac! With recent versions of macOS, these controllers now take advantage of features like rumble feedback, custom button mapping, and screen recording.

To pair your controller, go to System Preferences > Bluetooth. Then put your controller into pairing mode. Here’s how:

For PlayStation DualShock 4, hold the Share and PlayStation buttons until the light on the back of the controller starts blinking.

For PlayStation DualSense, hold the Create and PlayStation buttons until the light bar starts blinking.

For Xbox Wireless, Series X|S, Elite 2, and Adaptive, turn your controller on and press the pairing button until the Xbox symbol starts blinking.

For MFi, turn your controller on and press the pairing button until the light(s) on the front start blinking.

When your controller appears in the Devices list on your Mac, click Connect. That’s it!
