Castlevania: SotN

Symphony of the Night

Hailed as a groundbreaking role-playing game when it was released in 1997, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has finally returned in an iOS version that’s as chillingly awesome as ever.

As vampire prince Alucard, you’ll hack and slash through the monster-filled hallways of Dracula’s massive castle—dashing, leaping, and soaring with the grace of a fencer, each vanquished enemy fueling your dark powers.

Even living skeletons are a threat in Dracula’s castle.

When you’re not fighting demons, werewolves, and worse, you’ll be searching for ways to access new areas of the castle. Symphony of the Night’s incredible level design is a puzzle unto itself; revealing darkened corners of the map as you slowly gain fantastic abilities is an adventurous joy.

Dracula’s minions won’t make it easy—the boss battles are epic—but don’t fear the reaper! A handy quick-save feature will bring you right back should you fall in battle. Keep at it: This all-time great is worth seeing through to the very end.
