It’s hard to imagine life without The Sims. For over two decades, the lovable mini-mes have been our constant companions—and they’ve been on the go with us since 2018 in The Sims Mobile. Here are just a few reasons this digital dollhouse keeps growing on us:

All work and no play makes your Sim super-wealthy–and probably stressed out.

It’s a dream designer

‣ If you build it, they will come. And they’ll need a bathroom. And maybe a lava lamp. Updates like new room shapes and the ability to rotate spaces in Build mode give you even more ways to make your Sims feel at home. Agonize over every doorway!

You can mold your Sims too, from their facial features down to their personalities and quirks. A postlaunch store—Izzy’s Fashion Shop—lets Sims buy extra-fancy clothes with fabulous special effects.

It’s a great employee

‣ Sims don’t just lounge around all day. If they want cool stuff, they’ll need to work for it—with a little help from you, of course.

And as the game has grown, so too have the Sims’ career prospects. Your green-haired barista can learn new skills and land a lucrative gig as a doctor or chef. Looking for something less conventional? Try becoming a groovy dance instructor or an intrepid space explorer!

Deck out your pad for a swinging shindig.

It’s always expanding

‣ There’s no shortage of action in your neighborhood, since The Sims Mobile lets you stretch your legs and get out of town to visit new locations. Head to Briny Heights and enjoy a realistic day/night cycle, or check out the Waterfront District to zone out in a sensory deprivation tank. Even Sims need to unwind!
