Highlighted: Book Highlights
Scan, organize, and export
The next time you’re reading a book and come across a quote you love, put down the highlighter and reach for Highlighted.
What we love: Taking notes and organizing them is as easy as snapping a pic of your page. The app converts the photo into text and creates a new entry where you can add the page number, tags, and notes. And there’s no need to painstakingly add a book’s title, author, or other details—before you start scanning, just search for the book and the app fills in all that info for you. The share function under each highlight lets you colorfully post the selection to social media, send via text and email, or export to Files.
Quick tip: Select multiple sections within a single photo, then decide later if you want all of those highlights to be organized separately or combined in a single note.
Meet the creator: Highlighted founder Damir Štuhec has always loved reading books, but he had never been able to find a reliable system for annotating and remembering important passages. “We all read differently and have unique needs,” Štuhec says. “I’ve been proactive in asking for user feedback, learning from it, and using that knowledge to keep improving the app over time.”
