Beautiful color palettes
Whether you’re designing a website, creating an app, or perfecting an illustration, Pastel puts the same color palettes at your fingertips across all your tools. Set up an unlimited number of palettes, organize them by project, and sync them all across Pastel for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Here are four ways Pastel can simplify even the most colorful creative processes:
Drag a hue between apps
In any app that uses the standard macOS color picker, you can drag and drop to and from Pastel. No more copying hex values!
Get color values with a click
Copying color values couldn’t be easier: Control-click the color in Pastel, then select your desired format: Hex, RGB, Float, UIColor, or SwiftUI. Pro tip: You can also Control-click an entire palette to copy all of its color values.
Make a swatch
To quickly create a swatch page with every color in a palette (along with their hex values), choose File > Export > Export Reference Card. Or choose Export Image to create a reference card you can import into photo and illustration apps.
Create a color scheme from an image
Love the colors in a particular photo or illustration? Drag the file into a new palette and Pastel will automatically extract the dominant colors. To add another color from the image, drag your pointer over the color, then click the Add button that appears.
