Meet the creator: When Nick Huzar learned that his wife was going to have a baby, he jumped at the chance to begin preparing a nursery—but he was daunted by the difficulty of unloading all of the “stuff” that had accumulated in the room he needed to use. He and his cofounder Arean Van Veelen launched OfferUp in 2011 as an easy way to help people clear out their clutter and make a little money along the way.
