Love - A Puzzle Box

Filled with Stories

View

Peer into the crowded apartment building in Love–A Puzzle Box and you’ll see everyday life unfold for shy kids, happy couples, and wistful seniors. Rotate floors to shift between the gray-hued past and colorful present, then manipulate time to unearth the tenants’ heartfelt stories—and possibly change their destinies.

What we love: The emotional, relatable tales—from losing a beloved spouse to reconnecting with a childhood friend. And Love’s time-traveling puzzles yield satisfying results, like when you head to the past and make a painting fall from a ledge to land at the feet of a present-day barista, reminding her of the hobby she once cherished.

Turn on that boom box to make sure two kids bond over music—and become lifelong pals.

Quick tip: Rotating does more than change the time period—it also creates connections between objects that can prove useful. Spin the floors to link flights of stairs on a fire escape, join segments of a drain pipe, or position a dripping air conditioner over a thirsty plant.

Meet the creator: Canadian indie studio Rocketship Park was founded by industry veterans Shane McCafferty and Jim Squires. Love was inspired by a song written by McCafferty’s friend—the developer wanted to capture the feeling of hearing the tune for the first time. (It’s on the game’s soundtrack.)
