With Emmy-winning TV series, Oscar-winning films, and fan-favorite dramas and comedies, Hulu is a pop culture lover’s paradise. Here are a few must-see offerings to get you started:

The Handmaid’s Tale

Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss stars in this fiery drama about a dystopian future in which women are drafted to be “handmaids”—and forced to bear the children of the rich. But when a young handmaid teams up with members of an underground network, they kick-start a revolution that will change the world forever.

Reboot

From Modern Family cocreator Steven Levitan comes this hilarious showbiz comedy about the cast of a long-gone sitcom that’s reunited for a not-so-happy reunion. The all-star cast includes Rachel Bloom, Keegan-Michael Key, and Johnny Knoxville.

Cheers

Sometimes you wanna go...to one of the warmest, funniest sitcoms ever made. Hulu has all 11 seasons—in which spot-on performances and sharp writing were the norm—so pull up a stool and hang out with Sam, Carla, Rebecca, and the rest of the gang until last call.

The Hair Tales

Executive producer Oprah Winfrey presents this insightful look at the history, significance, and joy of Black hair. Featuring heartfelt conversations with Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and other remarkable women, The Hair Tales encourages everyone to speak their own truths.

Atlanta

Created by and starring the brilliant Donald Glover as an aspiring music manager—Atlanta is a rich, hilarious, and sometimes surreal mix of comedy and drama. With supporting turns by Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lakeith Stanfield, the series features one of the most impressive ensemble casts on streaming.

The Patient

In this taut, twisty miniseries, Steve Carell plays a successful therapist who’s abducted by a serial killer struggling to control his deadly behavior. The more the two men talk, the deeper they dig into each other’s lives, until the real truth finally emerges. Don’t miss the chilling performance by Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina) as the tormented captor.

Lost

Whether you missed this mind-bending mystery series the first time around, or you’re simply ready for another trip back to the island, it’s always a good time to get lost in Lost. The hit drama follows the passengers of Oceanic flight 815, who crash into a strange paradise where nothing is what it seems and nobody is to be trusted (especially not the smoke monster).

The Kardashians

The most famous family in reality TV returns in an all-new series that brings you closer to the action—and the antics—than ever before. Follow Kendall, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, Kris, and Kylie on a journey around the world as they expand their businesses, their families, and their empire.

Reasonable Doubt

Reasonable Doubt is your next can’t-miss legal series! Emayatzy Corinealdi stars as Jax Stewart, an ambitious criminal defense attorney at a top-tier L.A. law firm whose legal career is almost as dramatic as her love life.

Nine Perfect Strangers

A wellness retreat goes awry in this series based on the best-seller from Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty. Melissa McCarthy and Michael Shannon star as stressed-out city dwellers who head to an upscale resort, where their lives are forever changed by a powerful guru played by an eerily equanimous Nicole Kidman.

Only Murders in the Building

The unlikely trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez shines in this snappy, stylish comedy/murder mystery. When a body is found in their posh New York City apartment building, the trio launches a podcast to dig deeper—but their investigation turns up the secrets they’ve been keeping too. Keep an eye out for hilarious cameos by Sting, Amy Schumer, and Jimmy Fallon.
