What we love: Its surprising twists. An unlockable zone in each era completely switches up the action—the prehistoric area throws you and the crystal thief into a heated race on stone bikes; in ancient Rome, the camera suddenly flips around to show you fleeing from molten boulders shot out of an erupting volcano. Keep moving!
Quick tip: Want more gold? Veer off on side paths when they pop up—these trickier routes have tons of treasure. The skies do too, so be sure to grab every jetpack power-up!
Meet the creator: Launched in 2008, Outfit7 found its own gold in Talking Tom. Since the 2010 release of the original game, the franchise has grown to include dozens of mobile games and an animated series.
