Tilt ’n’ Tumble may look like the simplest game ever…until you start playing. Keeping that ball bouncing on a table tennis paddle is really tricky— especially if you want to do it enough times to earn a leaderboard-worthy score. But we have faith in you!
Your challenge: Finish a game with more than 4,704 points, the high score set by the App Store team’s best Tilt ’n’ Tumble player. To give you a leg up, here are three key tips for aspiring paddle pros:
1. Be a straight shooter
Try to hit the ball straight up in the air at the smallest angle possible. This minimizes how much you have to move your paddle for the next hit and lowers the odds of the ball ricocheting unpredictably off your paddle or the sides of the screen.
2. Collect power-ups ASAP
You can’t avoid power-ups that make your paddle momentarily vanish or freeze the ball midair. Try to grab these the moment they appear—it’ll prevent them from piling up onscreen and creating an even bigger distraction when you nab several at once.
3. Stay focused
Because the game doesn’t let you pause to take a breather, maintaining concentration is vital. So remove all potential distractions that might waylay your record-breaking run. Turn on Do Not Disturb, find a comfortable spot—whatever keeps you locked in!
