Instead of schlepping to the grocery store, why not let Instacart do your shopping for you? The app partners with grocers around the country (Publix in the South, Wegmans in the Northeast, Safeway in the West, and others) to offer same-day or even one-hour delivery.
Because Instacart stays as up-to-date as possible with your local store’s inventory, you can select exactly the items you want. After you place an order (checkout is quick with Apple Pay), a personal shopper heads to the aisles on your behalf.
If something you want is sold out, your shopper lets you know in real time via notifications and in-app chat. You can then either select something else (say, ice cream sandwiches instead of ice cream bars) or get a refund.
Once your groceries are bagged and paid for, they get handed off to a driver who’ll arrive during your assigned delivery window. If you want to plan ahead, schedule deliveries a few days in advance (often for a lower delivery fee).
And just like that, you’ve finished your grocery shopping—without having to battle for a parking space or find a cart with working wheels.
