A meteorite has smashed into Earth, turning most of the population into blue-skinned zombies. You’re a researcher looking for a vaccine, but your scientists need study samples. And what better way to get them than by hunting the infected with enormously powerful weapons?
The action is fast and fluid as you run, leap, wall-kick, and blast through Cure Hunter’s many enemies—humanoid and otherwise. Alongside the infected are floating tentacled nasties and weird pouncing blobs.
Roll away from danger by double-tapping in any direction. But amid the spiked pits, metal crushers, and scary worms dropping from the ceiling, be careful not to dodge your way into more trouble. One death and it’s back to the start.
Your health and ammo carry over to the next stage, and while underground traders can top you up and sell you new weapons, healing up may leave you short of cash for ammo. What’s more important: staying locked and loaded, or staying alive?
Easy decision—though you’ll need plenty of firepower for the game’s imposing bosses. A giant bloated fly swarms you with critters, and you can expect a frosty reception from the guardian at the end of the ice world.
With different heroes to choose from—each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and starter weapons—Cure Hunters makes the end of the world eminently replayable. Maybe the vaccine can wait?
