The Zola app has evolved from a wedding registry into a comprehensive wedding planner: It’ll build you a website, kick-start your gift registry, and even handle the RSVPs.
Start by creating your own website using one of Zola’s templates. (Well, start by getting engaged, then pick a website.) This will be Wedding Central; you’ll even see a countdown to the big day appear on the home page.
Once your site is up, start sprinkling in the details. Add events, including everything from the rehearsal dinner to the morning-after brunch. Fill out your guest list and the all-important wedding party. Set up RSVPs (if you’re using RSVP cards, just toggle this option off). And build a customized checklist—so you can manage all the random, unpredictable stuff that happens with every wedding.
From there, you’re ready to start creating your registry—and as one of the few services that allow you to add items from other websites, Zola’s is also the only registry you need.
Zola sells thousands of gifts from popular brands (hello KitchenAid stand mixer in Almond Cream). You can also register for experiences, such as wine tastings or couples massages, and establish a cash fund for big-ticket goals like a honeymoon or a down payment on a house.
When someone purchases a selection, it’s recorded in the app’s Gift Tracker. Cash gifts are totaled in real time and can be transferred to your bank account. And physical gifts won’t be shipped until you give the OK—a nice feature if you’re having a destination wedding or heading right out of town on your honeymoon.
And if you change your mind about a gift someone’s already bought, you can easily exchange it for Zola credit.
