Rosetta Stone: Learn Languages
Spanish, Korean, French & More
Are you a visual learner? Rosetta Stone’s photo-based immersion approach will speak your language.
What we love: Skipping the tedious translations. Rosetta Stone relies on a visual method, showing pictures in context to help you speak and write. No lengthy vocab list to memorize here. Instead, you’ll see someone enjoying a croissant to learn that the French word for “to eat” is manger.

Quick tip: Speedy learners will benefit from Extended Learning modules, which are short lessons based on a theme. One lets you record yourself reading a story to help the app evaluate your accent. Another focuses on common phrases for ordering a meal or getting directions. Make your Spanish teacher proud!
Meet the creator: In the 1980s, founder Allen Stoltzfus was struggling to learn Russian and knew there could be a better way. With the widespread adoption of CD-ROM technology, Rosetta Stone launched in 1992. After nearly 20 years of success with physical software, Rosetta Stone was an early adopter of mobile apps in 2010. Today, Rosetta is part of the IXL Learning company.
