Alliance War has finally come to Marvel Strike Force! The latest mode in FoxNext’s superhero strategy game lets players face one another in electrifying clan-on-clan battles.

A newly introduced Military trait will give some preexisting characters special benefits in Alliance War.

Each alliance (or clan) must defend its S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier while attacking a Helicarrier manned by a rival alliance. Naturally, your battleship carries the real Marvel champions from Earth, while other ships hold corrupted counterparts who’ve been assembled by Ultimus (the game’s main bad guy) as a massive invasion force. Nick Fury was right: War is a universal language!

Matches go down in two parts. In the prep phase, your alliance strategically places defensive characters inside your Helicarrier’s 12 rooms. Then, in a tense attack phase, your team storms an enemy Helicarrier—earning points for trouncing defenders and blowing up as many rooms as possible.

Aimed at players level 45 and up, Alliance War is where all the time you’ve spent ranking up Quake, Venom, and crew really pays off. During a match, each alliance member will deploy dozens of characters.

“This mode really rewards having a deep, well-developed roster to pull from—not just a few rock stars you’ve built up for arenas and raids,” explains creative director Jason Bender.

Watching rooms go boom when you defeat their defenders? Satisfying every time.

Defeat other alliances to earn credit to spend in a separate Alliance War store full of top-tier gear and character shards. Of course, there’s also leaderboard fame—and that’s just the start. “We plan to expand the war to exciting new places,” Bender says. Get your alliance ready!
