This isn’t your average bike ride. Extreme cycling is taken to the next level with Touchgrind BMX 2, the successor to the popular skateboarding game Touchgrind.
Your BMX is freewheeling down an obstacle-filled track, and it’s up to you to perform tricks to score big points. When you hit a jump and go airborne, place two fingers on the screen (one on the seat, one on the bars) and flick to throw front spins, back spins, bar spins, and tail whips.
At first it feels like there’s little method to the madness, but as you learn the subtleties required to show off and link moves, the game starts to take on exciting depths.
The key is to find the balance between chaos and control. Learning where to play it safe or go all out will help you nail a big score. Unlockable extras up the ante with bonus bikes.
With nine levels and 40 challenges to complete per level, there’s plenty to keep Touchgrind BMX 2 fresh and exciting, even after you’ve mastered sticking a 1080 double backflip.
