The Weight Watchers subscription app—recently rebranded as simply WW—provides the means to live a healthy lifestyle. The idea: With the weight loss program’s upgraded SmartPoints system (say goodbye to PointsPlus), you can lose weight and still eat all the foods you love.
After downloading the app, enter relevant information about yourself, like your birthday, gender, height, and current weight. You’ll then pick your reason for using WW: either “Weight loss and healthy habits” or just “Healthy habits.”
Once the app processes the information, you’ll receive a number of SmartPoints you can use each day; every food is equal to a certain number of those points. To track your meals, search both store-bought and restaurant foods through their database (or even scan your items’ barcodes if they have them). After you make your selections, the points used for each meal will be subtracted from your daily total.
The new program, known as WW Freestyle, now has more foods that are worth zero points—like eggs—and the opportunity to roll up to four points over to another day when you’ll need them more.
