Care for yourself and everything else will fall into place—this is the mantra behind the pixelated, pastel, habit-tracking app Aloe Bud.
Its theory is that gentle reminders to breathe, rest, eat, drink, move, and more will boost self-awareness. Add each goal to your home page grid, and when you tap on one you’ll be presented with an easy exercise to do in the moment.
For breathing, you might be told to inhale for four seconds, exhale for four, then repeat. For movement, try wiggling your toes or stretching your legs. Check off each exercise every day to stay on track.
Add reminders for each activity and set an encouraging phrase to appear in your notification (or write your own). You also have the opportunity to personalize each activity with its own adorable icon—pick the one you connect with best.
As you go, the app will generate a progress report. Tap the cloud button at the top of the screen to get a timeline of your completed exercises.
