Description

This app bundle enables you to:
- Perform pipe sizing and pressure drop calculations for heating, cooling and natural gas installations;

Apps included:

1. Natural Gas Pipe Size

Estimate required pipe diameter for natural gas piping and installations in an instant. Calculate pressure drop for the selected pipe section.

Minimal user input is required (heat output of the burner and pipe length) and the result is instantaneous and accurate.

Wide range of conditions supported: gas lower heating value, temperature, pressure, location altitude can be set.

After a quick estimate of the recommended standard or nominal pipe size, the user can choose their own diameter, customize pipe material and define fittings and valves to calculate volume flow rate, velocity and pressure drop.

Metric and imperial units are supported.

Note: the application displays results for a pipe section. Calculations for multiple pipe sections should be performed separately.

----

2. Heating Pipe Size

Estimate required pipe diameter of a closed hydronic heating or cooling system in an instant.

Enter the required heating output, flow and return temperatures. Choose pipe material. The recommended pipe diameter is immediately presented as a standard DN.

Additionally, choose a pipe diameter and specify pipe section length and fittings. Results include water flow rate, velocity, pressure drop and can be used to determine the parameters of a circulation pump.

Note: only metric units are supported for Heating Pipe Size.
