Conversations about preventing abuse in sport can happen any time. From morning swim practice to afternoons spent on the soccer field, when you’re on the go with your family there’s one thing you always have with you—the SafeSport Ready app. This educational app is designed to help parents better understand what abuse in sport is and how to address it, anytime, anywhere.

Concerned about behavior you’ve witnessed between teammates? Unsure if your child’s coach is acting appropriately? Open the app and get quick, trustworthy answers to all your questions about abuse and misconduct on and off the playing field.

Explore age-specific talking tips: Learn how to talk with your child about setting healthy boundaries, being inclusive of all teammates, and understanding appropriate verses inappropriate behavior.

Look up your child’s sport or coach: Search our Centralized Disciplinary Database (CDD) of more than 2,000 individuals who are restricted or ineligible from participating in the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Movement.

Take quizzes: Answer questions about your child’s coach or sport organization and receive a personalized response.

Learn how to report: Explore our interactive Steps for Reporting feature to learn how and where to make a report if you need to.

And more!

Learn about different types of abuse (bullying, emotional and physical misconduct) and explore examples, discover how to recognize signs of misconduct, understand what grooming is, and find out what defines a positive sport environment—all in one app.

And if you’d like to learn more, visit us on the web, where you can take one of our SafeSport® Trained courses, report a concern, experience featured articles and videos, and explore additional educational materials to help you safeguard sport, at uscenterforsafesport.org.
