SenSense

A three player puzzle game.

VIEW

This ingeniously distinctive puzzle game captures the co-operative spirit of popular escape room challenges. But this time, teamwork comes with a twist.

Based on the proverb of the three wise monkeys, SenSense has you playing alongside two friends. And that twist we mentioned? Well, each of you is deprived of one of your senses: one player must close their eyes, another needs to wear headphones (noise-cancelling ones preferably) and the third isn’t allowed to speak.

Each player sees different information on their screen, with the aim being to combine that information to solve the puzzle together.

Can you solve SenSense’s puzzles, while lacking one of your senses?

One team member might have a series of directions, which another player needs to swipe in to reveal letters for the third person to tap in. The player you can’t see might have to hold different areas of the screen to produce emoji on their teammate’s display.

In another puzzle, two screens make cat and dog sounds when tapped; the third player must nudge them in the right order to produce a code.

Puzzles offer new challenges whether you’re the player who can’t see, hear or speak.

Each challenge comes with tiers of difficulty: a well-oiled team might race through easy challenges in less than a minute, but the hard ones demand effective communication.

Over time you’ll work out ways to convey information more efficiently. And while it certainly helps if all three players are together, don’t worry if you’re not – SenSense lets you link up with online friends as long as you have a separate device with video chat.

You’ll need to work together with your friends to solve tricky challenges.

Our only tip: try to be strict with the rules. Don’t be a cheeky monkey and cheat – as the old adage goes, you’ll only be cheating yourself.

Besides, it would be truly unwise to deprive yourself of the unique pleasures of this superb game.
