Sprint RPG

A Dungeon Fun Run

View

Every step counts in this high-speed, low-res adventure. But you can’t be too cautious in Sprint RPG – with the clock ticking, one wrong move means you might not make it to the exit.

Using simple button controls, you’ll advance through these deadly corridors by using a sword and shield to protect yourself against the enemies blocking your path.

They’re all easily defeated, though you’ll need to memorise their movements to get past them quickly. Small skull-bats will fall to a single swipe of your sword, while the larger variety requires two strikes, with a block in the middle.

This retro role-playing game is about taking things one step at a time. But quickly.

Each floor introduces new surprises, and before long you’ll encounter creepy faces within the dungeon walls. And while one blow is enough to swat away an obstructive web, you’ll need to keep swinging if a spooky spider emerges from it.

Coins you earn from successful runs can be spent on a range of weapons and shields. If you fancy, you can walk around clutching a fly swatter and a teddy bear, while equippable goggles give you a fresh filter for the distinctive two-tone visuals.

Given the rhythmic feel of the action, changing your footwear is like changing the beat of the dungeon. You can swap the hollow clip-clop of wooden clogs for the clack of rollerskates – or if you prefer a quieter mood, why not shuffle along in a pair of slippers?

Go too fast and you’re more likely to make a fatal mistake. Too slow, and you’ll never reach the door to the next floor in time. Sprint RPG’s unique blend of precision and pace is what makes it such an exhilarating, satisfying adventure.
