Super Mario Run

Control Mario with just a tap!

View

He’s a plumber by trade, but Mario’s most impressive skill isn’t unclogging sinks. It’s collecting coins! And you do plenty of that in Super Mario Run.

As entertaining today as when it launched in 2016, Mario’s first App Store outing cuts right to the chase with bite-size levels filled with enemies to squash, gaps to leap over and thousands upon thousands of shiny gold pieces to grab. While you may already have played far into this platformer, we’re taking this high-score contest back to the very beginning...

Every coin counts in this fast-paced race.

The challenge: Collect more than 214 coins on World 1-1 (the pink coin version) playing as the famous mustachioed mascot himself. And no using bubbles to backtrack! It’s got to be a single shot through.

Here are a few tips to help you be the best Mario you can be:

Think pink

Those pink coins aren’t just pretty – they’re also valuable, adding 10 coins apiece at the end of your run. To have any chance at beating our score, you’ll need to nab all five.

Mushroom magic

They make Mario grow; why not your score too? Grabbing a mushroom while you’re big snags you an extra five coins. Be sure to hit those first two coin blocks with a single jump to land that spare mushroom.

Star power

There’s nothing as thrilling as finding an invincibility-granting Super Star in a Mario game. In Super Mario Run, Super Stars also act like coin vacuums, sucking up nearby gold! Secure that sky-high Star near the end of the level to scoop up all the goodies in your sprint to the flag.
