Pity the poor white rabbits in Ocmo. They lark about at the end of each stage in this tricky platform game, bouncing about and generally brightening up the place.
And yet as the many-tendriled hero of this game, your goal is to gobble them up. Nom nom nom.
This isn’t a horror game; it’s all done with good slapstick humour. Ocmo's beautiful environments take the edge off the bunny body count, too.
Chowing down on them is easy; it’s actually getting to those rabbits in the first place that’s the challenge here. Tapping parts of the scenery fires out one of Ocmo’s tentacles so you can swing from rocky outcrops or pull yourself towards safe ground.
Ocmo is a delicate thing, though. You’ll perish instantly if you touch the deadly slimy stuff smeared around each stage, or even if you splat into the scenery with too much force.
With practice, you’ll get really skilful at swinging and slingshotting Ocmo around, though it takes a good understanding of the creature’s momentum, canny timing and patience.
Ocmo is certainly a challenging game, but you can really feel your skills improving. With practice, complex chains of manoeuvres become second nature – and your reward? Another delicious bunny rabbit. Yum.
